The record type of the Oriented Knots dataset. Each stored column is a field of this product type. A row includes names and known properties; it is distinct from the mathematical knot presented by its PD code.
Dataset metadata declares name as the primary key.
The table's first column, id : RowRef<OrientedKnotRow>, is generated from that field.
It displays the primary key linked to the standalone row page. It is not stored or embedded in the row record.
The name : string column uses ordinary text rendering.

PDCode has representation int list list; each crossing contains four integers.
KnotId is a distinct named identifier represented by a string. Comparing identifiers or PD arrays does not itself establish oriented ambient isotopy.
T option means a value of type T or None; unknown booleans remain None, not false.
Lists retain their order. Possible duplicates are references to catalogue entries, not embedded knot-table rows.
| Column | Type | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| knot id | KnotId = string | Catalogue identifier; a reference, not a knot diagram. |
| name | string | Display name of the oriented knot. |
| dt name | string option | Optional DT catalogue alias. |
| crossing number | int option | Minimal crossing number, when known. |
| alternating | bool | Whether the catalogue marks the knot as alternating. |
| kind | string | Current values: unknot, prime, composite. |
| component count | int | Number of components; always one in this dataset. |
| pd code | PDCode = int list list | Oriented PD presentation, represented by a list of integer quadruples; [] denotes the unknot. |
| pd source | string | Source or derivation of the PD presentation. |
| source record | string | Locator or serialized source description. |
| amphichiral | bool option | Combined amphichirality status; None means unknown. |
| reversible | bool option | Reversibility status; None means unknown. |
| symmetry type | string option | Imported symmetry category, when available. |
| possible duplicates | KnotId list | Catalogue references to unresolved possible duplicates. |
These are logical data types. The SQLite adapter decodes stored JSON lists and boolean encodings before display. Declaring the presentation's type does not verify knot equivalence or the catalogue's mathematical claims.
