Regina12 imports the 2,977 non-trivial prime knots with 3–12 crossings from Regina's classical knot tables. The name, knot signature, alphabetical DT code, DT name, and optional structure are preserved as published, including leading zeros.

The source supplies both a DT code and a knot signature. Regina describes its catalogue signatures as specifying diagrams up to reflection and reversal (as well as relabelling and rotation). A reconstructed diagram chooses a representative; that choice does not select a preferred orientation or handedness for the catalogue entry. See Regina's source-data description.

DT codes also leave a mirror ambiguity. For composite knots they can lose more information than global mirroring; Regina12 contains only prime knots. See Regina's DT and signature documentation.

The YakDB link uses the published dt_name cross-reference and always names an UnorientedMirrorClass. Every target uses the a operator: for example, a3_1, a4_1, and a8_17. This keeps the column homogeneous even when symmetry makes a class have only one oriented or unoriented member.

The original dt_name is retained even when it is not an oriented identifier. Mapping uses this explicit source cross-reference, not invariant matching or the arbitrary output of a DT-to-PD conversion. Source provenance and the archive checksum are retained with the import.
